--------The Lawrence County Hospital offers the latest in medical care to residents of the area. The hospital has well-qualified doctors and associated personnel to provide patients with excellent care. Home health care, inhalation and respiratory therapy, social services, nuclear medicine, intensive care, respite care, personal care, coronary care, and 24-hour emergency medical service are among the services offered by the hospital. Monticello and Lawrence County also have a nursing center that serves 60 patients.
--------At a time when many hospitals are cutting back and loosing money, the Lawrence County Hospital is offering new and expanded services. The hospital offers an innovative home health program that services five surrounding counties. There is also a swing bed unit for those patients recovering from a serious illness.
--------The hospital, the Town of Monticello and Lawrence County purchased a top-of-the-line IBM computer system that is shared by all three. This cooperation allows access to a much more advanced computer system than the entities could afford individually.
