Dear Ministry & Prayer partners,
We have finally made the move to Tabou from
Abidjan. It is good to finally be in our
home and living among the Grebo people. Derrick
and Erin are glad to be in a more rural area
to run around. We thank God that He allowed
us time to adjust, meet other missionaries,
and to just learn our way around Abidjan
so that we can one day better facilitate
team members and volunteers that will be
coming to work among the Grebo alongside
us. We've been here less than one week unpacking,
cleaning, and settling in as well as learning
our way around the village. Therefore, this
letter is short.
PRAYERS ANSWERED
It seems that God has led us to some honest,
hard-working people. Thank you for praying
for the discernment and wisdom for hiring
the right people God would have for our family.
We had also asked that God would burden peoples
heart to adopt the Grebo and He has from
all over the United States. We've received
e-mails from association, churches, and individuals
who have a burden to pray and adopt the Grebo.
PRAYER REQUESTS
1. Pray that we would again have discernment
in choosing the right person to help us learn
the Grebo language.
2. Pray that the Christians and churches
in the Tabou area will catch the vision to
evangelize. We also praise God that we have
gotten reports that some are doing that.
3. Guy will be traveling to Monrovia, Liberia
next week for meetings with Baptists leaders
there. Pray for a safe and fruitful trip.
4. We will be compiling a worldview study
and a strategy. Pray that God would show
us how to best reach the Grebo.
5. Continue to pray the we will GROW IN CHRIST
and that God would continue to CULTIVATE
a LOVE in us for the people.
Guy has written another story about life
here in West Africa (click here to read). We have sent it as an attachment for you
to read at your leisure.
God bless,
Guy, Cindy, Derrick, & Erin DeMars
