Some people say I can do a darned good impression of Bob Dylan when I want to (and even when I'm not trying to imitate him!), but for those who prefer the real thing, check out bobdylan.com Here you'll find a complete discography, lyrics (your age-old questions finally answered!), and sound samples galore.
I tell you, I didn't think I would ever say that I'm a country music fan, because I've never felt comfortable with the "twang thang." But I have to be honest and say that, although I cannot readily name a truly meaningful rock song recorded in the last fifteen years, I really appreciate the depth and unpretentious character of much of contemporary country music. Even though I still don't go for the twang, I do like the lyrics much better than most alternative or rap. Family values are stressed a lot more in country music than in today's other popular songs. Besides, so many of the female country music stars are simply more attractive than their non-country counterparts! Witness Shania Twain , and Faith Hill , and Lee Ann Rimes.. See also country.com.
Several famous musicians have their roots right here in McComb, Mississippi, and the surrounding area. We are very proud of Bo Diddley , Omar and the Howlers , Brandy , G.C. Cameron of the Spinners, and most recently risen to fame, Britney Spears . And I just found out about the fifteen-year-old Ray J as I was surfing the Net recently.
